Who we are
Her Holistic Womb is a nonprofit organization providing postpartum care, education, and practical support for mothers and families facing financial or housing hardship. We serve low-income and homeless women of color during pregnancy and postpartum, when support is often limited and needs are high.
We were founded by mothers with lived experience. Our work is shaped by those who have navigated postpartum without adequate resources, faced system gaps, and understand firsthand how quickly postpartum can become overwhelming without support. That experience guides how we design our services and how we show up for families.
We provide postpartum doula support, family-centered education, and advocacy that helps mothers recover while strengthening the family unit. Our courses and services focus on teamwork, communication, and shared responsibility so families are prepared to support one another after birth.
In addition to care and education, we provide direct relief through community donations and grants. This includes covering essential services such as cleaning, food support, laundry, transportation, and baby items for mothers in crisis. These supports help reduce stress and create space for healing and bonding.
Her Holistic Womb is community-led, grounded in dignity, and committed to making postpartum care accessible, realistic, and responsive to real life.
